The Count of Luxembourg

The Count of Luxembourg was an operetta in two acts based on Franz Lehár’s three-act German operetta Der Graf von Luxembourg which had premiered in Vienna in 1909. It opened in London in 1911 and enjoyed huge popularity. The show ran at the Pavilion Gardens Theatre for six days and the Folkestone Herald observed that ‘In view of the great popularity of this piece, it is advisable for patrons to secure their seats by booking them early’.
