Elise Maria Maude née Wehren was Mrs Armstrong’s mother. Married to Maurice Ceely Maude, they had five sons, Anthony (‘Tony’), Ralph, Christopher (‘Kit’), Ceely and Frederick (who died as a child) and five daughters, Mary (‘Dot’), Rebecca (‘Bee’), Lisalie (‘Zoo’), Rosalie (‘Rosie’) and Marguerite (‘Gretta’) Maude.
