Henry Somerset (b. 1847). 9th Duke of Beaufort.
Louise Emily Somerset née Harford (1864-1945). Wife of the Duke, they lived at Badminton House, Somerset. She had three children with the Duke of Beaufort, Blanche (b. 1897), Diana (b. 1898) and Henry (b. 1900) and two sons, Frankie (b. 1885) and Maurice (b. 1888) from her earlier marriage to a Dutch nobleman, Baron Charles Frederick de Tuyll (d. 1893).
Captain Francois ‘Frankie’ de Tuyll. The Duchess of Beaufort’s elder son from her first marriage to Baron Charles Frederic de Tuyll. Officer in the 10th Hussars. Brother to Maurice and half-brother to Blanche, Diana and Henry.
Captain Maurice de Tuyll. The Duchess of Beaufort’s younger son from her first marriage to Baron Charles Frederic de Tuyll. Pat Armstrong had befriended the family through Maurice de Tuyll, as a fellow officer in the 10th Hussars. Brother to Frankie and half-brother to Blanche, Diana and Henry.
Blanche Linnie “Blanchie” Somerset. The Duke and Duchess’s elder daughter. Sister to Diana and Henry, half-sister to Frankie and Maurice.
Diana “Di” Somerset. The Duke and Duchess’s daughter. Sister to Blanche and Henry, half-sister to Frankie and Maurice.
Henry “Master” Somerset. The Duke and Duchess’s youngest child. Brother to Blanche and Diana, half-brother to Frankie and Maurice.
