Lieutenant-General Sir Thomas D’Oyly Snow

Lieutenant-General Sir Thomas D’Oyly Snow (1858-1940) was a British General on the Western Front, in command of the 4th Division. Owing to his considerable physical size he was nicknamed ‘Slush’, ‘Snowball’ and ‘Polar Bear’.
