Lieutenant General Sir Launcelot Edward Kiggell (1862-1954), who served as Chief of General Staff for the British Armies in France under Sir Douglas Haig from late 1915 to the end of the war. His wife Eleanor Rose née Field (1870-1948) was sister to General Williams’ wife Nina.
